We'll use the city as our classroom and look at how past and current leaders handle uncertainty, responsibility, influence, and legacy. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, there is no better setting to explore one of leadership's most enduring questions: How do we make decisions whose consequences extend far beyond ourselves?

The experience
- Thursday: arrivals, hotel check-in, and a casual welcome gathering
- Friday: National Portrait Gallery, leadership lunch, White House or Congress tour, and National Archives Rotunda dinner
- Saturday: President Lincoln's Cottage, Reflecting Pool walk, and an evening leadership dinner
- Sunday: closing breakfast and departures

How do leaders make consequential decisions without complete information? What responsibility do we carry for the future others will inherit?
The chapter provides hotel accommodations from Thursday through Saturday, at-retreat transportation, programmed meals, and activities. Round-trip airfare must be booked by the member and will be reimbursed up to $1,000 per attendee.
